Terms of service

Last updated: 27 September 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and CloudOneSoftware LLC, Jersey City, New Jersey, USA ("we", "us"), for the use of CTOScore on the web, in the iOS and Android apps and through its API. If you use CTOScore for an organization, you accept these terms on its behalf and confirm you are authorized to do so. Our privacy policy explains how we handle data.

1. Accounts

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us at support@ctoscore.com if you think your account has been misused. Workspace owners decide who joins their workspace and which role each person has, and are responsible for their members' use of CTOScore.

2. Authorization to access client code

You may connect a repository only when its owner has authorized you in writing. You must record that authorization in CTOScore before access is approved, and stay within the approved scope and time limit.

3. Changes to client repositories

CTOScore proposes changes only as pull or merge requests, after a second person in your workspace approves. Merging is the repository owner's decision.

4. Meetings, recording and transcription

When you schedule a transcribed meeting, you are responsible for obtaining every participant's consent to transcription as required by law. Some places, including California, Illinois and many countries, require the consent of all participants. CTOScore requires you to record a consent reference before it imports a transcript and adds a transcription notice to the invitation, but it cannot obtain consent for you. Meetings take place on third-party platforms (such as Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Webex and GoTo Meeting) under those platforms' own terms.

5. Third-party services

When you connect a code host, meeting platform, Slack or Discord, you authorize CTOScore to act for you on that service within the permissions you granted, and you remain bound by that service's terms. We are not responsible for third-party services or their availability. You can disconnect them at any time in Settings.

6. Your content

You keep all rights to the content you and your clients put into CTOScore. You give us permission to host, process and display it only as needed to provide CTOScore to you. We do not use your content to train AI models.

7. Assessments and AI output

Scores, findings, AI summaries and proposed answers support professional judgment. They are not a guarantee of security, compliance, valuation or fitness for any purpose. Review them before relying on them or sharing them.

8. Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically each period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time in Settings; access continues to the end of the paid period, and fees already paid are not refunded except where law requires. If we change prices, we will tell workspace owners at least 30 days before the change applies to them. Purchases made in the iOS or Android apps, if offered, follow Apple's or Google's billing terms.

9. Acceptable use

Do not access or scan code you are not authorized to review; transcribe people without the consent the law requires; break the law or others' rights; try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service; or share your account. We may suspend accounts that do.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using CTOScore and delete your account or workspace at any time (see how). We may suspend or end access for serious or repeated breaches of these terms, with notice where reasonable.

11. Disclaimers

CTOScore is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

12. Liability

To the extent allowed by law, CloudOneSoftware LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits or data, and its total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for CTOScore in the 12 months before the claim.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in New Jersey have exclusive jurisdiction, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

14. Changes and contact

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell workspace owners by email before the change applies. Continuing to use CTOScore after that means you accept the new terms.
